Questions I Would Ask Obama without the Teleprompter

I listened to President Obama State of the Union Speech saying what he was planning to do in the future but almost nothing on his 'accomplishments' in his three years in office.  

Questions I would like answered by the President:

Why he did not approve the Keystone pipeline to supply natural gas from Canada to the USA when thousands of jobs were available and needed natural gas infrastructure is required?


Why did he praise Solyndra and a few others  as exemplary of a government investments that fail a year later?

Why he used the gulf oil spill as an opportunity to promote renewable energy instead of cleaning up the mess?


Why castigate the Tea Party as reactionaries or that they are racists when they are concerned about runaway government and deficits?


Why after ten years of invasion and occupation he is leaving Iraq on its own to deal with an almost certain civil war?  

What was the 'good' reason that justifies the deaths of thousands of Americans and Iraqis over the past ten years? Hopefully not the removal of weapons of mass destruction?

What is the strategic objective in Afghanistan and what will be the policies towards a Taliban controlled government once we pull out?  What was accomplished?


Why he is contemplating a preventative war against Iran over the same dubious reasons of potential weapons of mass destruction?


Why after documented cases of hundreds of billions of financial frauds no major financial executives have been indicted on Wall Street except for one hedge fund?


If millions of manufacturing jobs have left the country due to dubious trade treaties and favorable tax policies, why hasn't he introduced legislation to undo some of the damage and inhibit other companies from doing the same and bring back the factories and jobs? 


In praising the Arab Spring as something good, why has he been totally apathetic to the plight of a minority religious segment - the Christians? 


Why he doesn't see the damage done by oligopolies and Wall Street upon the common person? 


Why is the Guantanamo prison still open?


The list could go on......Obamacare, influence of the military industrial complex and Wall Street, etc.


However, the media never asks the hard questions or demands answers.  I predict that if Obama gains a second term and he is a lame duck then he will implement policies that will make his first term appear conservative.


A sobering thought.
